Basic country hotel. Price high for what it was.
Posted 29 Apr 2018Room was OK if basic. Bed comfortable. One power point. Shared bathroom at end of corridor. Main problem was the noise from the bar directly underneath the room. Impossible to sleep until midnight. I left after one night and hotel refunded payment for second night.

Not suitable for sleeping.

Cons: Better communication with guests about functions happening that will affect them.
There was loud music playing downstairs from 11 pm to 2 am. This prevented my family and I from having a good night rest which affected our next day. No one warned us of this happening, if they did we could of stayed somewhere else.

Great town but better pub up the road
Posted 8 Dec 2016 on Wotif
Pros: Location
Cons: Beds, fan, women's showers, fridge/tele in room.
Location: Half an hour or so to Young, cherries, dams, beaut scenery.
Checked in but room wasn't ready as fan wasn't working and electrician couldn't fix it. No discount of any sort offered and room pretty stuffy. Bed soft and old. No tele, no fridge. Women's showers terrible. Pub a little on the working class side. Pub up the road much more quaint, friendly and welcoming.

Oasis in countryside

Pros: Room and bed are really cleaned. Shared toilets and bathrooms and a kitchen with sofas and TV
Cons: We had cold shower
We happened to catch the last moment of the October Woolfest of this wonderful town immersed in the vast cultivated plain. It recalls some of the Western films scenes. Court House Hotel is almost the unique place in this town where people gather together to celebrate with beer and music. The town is home of a good group of Irish descendants. There are nothing like supermarkets or department stores. Only two little petrol stations and little shops like a time ago. It fits to someone who is looking for a rest after a wearing life in the city. I couldn't make any phone call with my cell phone there because there was no network coverage (Optus). People are kind and look happy and there's order in the town day and night. The Hotel is also a Bar equipped with poker machines and has also a bottle shop. Night time it's also a disco till 11 pm. After that it's pretty quite. Although old, the Hotel is well looked after. It's clean and tidy and the staff are kind. It has a good menu.
