Great potential but...

Posted 4 Sep 2017 on Hotels
We were located in an apartment about a block away from the hotel. We had plenty of space for the 4 of us, we appreciated having a kitchen, and the balcony was amazing! Great location: not far from Cinque Terre (15-20min train ride), 1min walk to the beach, and right within the town night life. The apartment is indeed located above a bar that is opened up to 3-4am with really loud music and with people hanging out (drunk and loud) in the street afterwards... Not great for young children (or tired parents). The cleanliness of the apartment was more than questionable (so much dust and sticky everywhere). Terrible beds (once you're in, you're stuck!). No wifi. Decent breakfast at the hotel.

Average hotel, for £60 per night, no complaints

Posted 2 Oct 2015 on Hotels
Stayed three nights there, room is decent size come with a deck at the back, very handy for drying clothes, short walk to train station, there's not much noise from the train, despite being right behind. But it's below the railway wall, the room doesn't have much natural lights, had to turn on lights in the day as well. No wifi in the room, have to go to the restaurant area to get wifi. One of the hosts speaks English, but not the others. Breakfast is mini croissants and some packaged toasts with tea or cafe. Quite disappointed, but with £60 per night in italy, i guess i should be glad at least there's breakfast.

Very Calm and nice family hotel with great hospitality, nice tasty Italian food and reasonable prices. Even train Station located only one block away was not so disturbing and annoying.

Good view but noisy

Posted 1 Aug 2015
Pros: Proximity to the beach and the view from the balcony.
Cons: This could be improved by replacing and removing a lot of the furniture. There seemed to be a lot of broken items stored in the place.
Location: The beach was beautiful there are plenty of walks with stunning views.
We were a family of four and had booked a bed and breakfast in one room for four people for a bargain price so we were expecting anything! We arrived at 10 pm and were immediately taken to our room down the road which turned out to be a self catering apartment, with a huge balcony and sea views. The furniture was very scruffy but it was clean. It reminded me of places I stayed in when I was a student inter-railing. There was no air con - this was to be expected at the price we paid, and it was VERY hot. We put the bed next to the balcony and slept with the doors and shutters open but it was very noisy due to the trains! The children's bedroom faced the other way and they did not notice the trains. Also we cannot comment on the condition of the bedrooms in the main hotel. Breakfast was sufficient - a coffee served from the bar and buffet - fruit juice, yogurts, bread, croissant, jams and muesli (no cheese, ham or cake). The only reason I wouldn't recommend this to my friends is that they have moved on to smarter places - there was no air con, we slept on a futon, the trains were noisy and the furniture was scruffy. However it was definitely a case of "you get what you pay for". We had taken a chance for a stopover hotel near the beach. The children thought it was fantastic. We didn't try the restaurant for no reason other than we wanted to eat outside.

Posted 27 Jun 2017 on Hotels
