Be careful when booking, I booked it as a B&B but it’s really self catering, a bit expensive for room only.

Sorry you felt that Susan. It was fully explained to you before your arrival. Meadow Oak is self catering and most love the freedom to be able to take their breakast when they wish and use all the kitchen to cook! My prices are competitive for the area. I was a bit surprised at your comments as in my guest book you wrote! Great place to stay. Owner could do enough for you and you will come again! I would love to see you both again but it will be still.self catering!

Posted 30 Jul 2023 on HotelsMeadow Oak was a great place to stay, very clean and comfortable , towels and bedding included and we were supplied with some milk, bread , butter and cereals even though it was self catering, Eric was very friendly and offered us advice on places to visit and the hot tub was a bonus !

Generous and welcoming owner
Posted 5 Sep 2022 on HotelsEric was super helpful and provided plenty of information ahead of the stay. He even went the extra mile to drop me off at the nearby Lanhydrock Golf club where I charged my EV (shout out to Mark from the club too for working the charger!). The parking is a little tricky so needs care especially in the dark but a bonus compared to other b&b with none or only on-street parking. Breakfast was self service but use of the kitchen meant you could cook your own eggs. Eric also offered free use of brand new electric bikes and a hot tub but we didn't have time to make use of it. It would be a big bonus if he could add EV charging to his facilities, we'll come back in the future!
