The setting of the old jail is excellent, the conversion of the cells is cleverly done. The staff are excellent.

A loud machine (generator?) ran outside our room for 1/2 hour early on Saturday morning which gave us an unwelcome and unwanted alarm call.
While the hotel facilities and rooms were very good the food was not up to the same standard. Breakfast in particular was poor with cheap sliced bread and orange squash rather than fresh orange juice served. Not acceptable in any hotel never mind one in this price bracket.

This hotel is amazing!!! We have stayed in many five star hotels and this should be a five star hotel!!! It is extremely clean. The rooms are excellent, very good bathrooms. All furnished to a high standard. Would definitely recommend to friends and would definitely stay again. The history to this place is an added extra and the tours are a must

A lovely stay but disappointed that they had no lager in the bar or slimline tonic?! My partner only drinks lager and would think a place like this would be fully stocked?!

Amazing experience to stay in very luxurious hotel.We can only highly recommend to stay here.Staff very helpful and friendly.Food was amazing .The museum was exceptional and told tales of people who had lived and died in bodmin jail.You must visit so worth it
