The property was nice, very comfortable. I had some trouble finding exactly where it was, so I got on Google earth and figured out the exact lat long. I suggested to the host that that long should be included in the directions, and she told me that she has tried to get Expedia to put them on her listing, but Expedia continues to ignore her request. What do you say, Expedia, do you suppose we can make this happen? 65.60611, -20.11361

Lovely farm house along ring road. Nice view of valley in sitting room for guests. The map provided by orbitz listing showed property in middle of town of Blondios, but it was 10km outside of town. We had to call property to find. Not the owners fault, and should be fixed.

Good house, humble hospitality

Posted 22 Aug 2019 on Hotels
We arrived at 19-30 to this old family house. House has three levels and is in a very good condition, I must say. It’s located ina deserted area, 10 km away from Blonduos. The surrounding area has a trampoline for kids. The horses were behind the fence under the current – so did not come to us. We were accommodated on the third level in a big enough room for a family (with two kids). The beds were comfortable, the room was warm and clean, there was a capsule type coffee-machine with capsules present, but no kettle. The second floor is occupied by owners, and the first floor is the kitchen and dining area. By the time we were set, it was close to 21-00, so we asked the elderly owner, woman, if we may use the kitchen – we were going to make porridge for our kids – and surprisingly she said ‘no, you may not. There is a restaurant 10 km away from here’… Disappointing. I would really appreciate a cup of hot tea after a long journey in a windy cold weather, but it also has not been offered. Breakfast is free but is very humble. Selection of breads, spread cheese, butter, peanut butter, apples-bananas, small amount of vegetable, good coffee and hot water for tea. Some tea bags were looking like they were right taken away from the pocket. No eggs, no yoghurts.

great property but difficult to find

Posted 9 Jul 2019 on Hotels
lovely farmhouse with family history. We had trouble locating property as hotel.com indicated it was in Blonduos actually right at the site of a church on the hill .It was over 10 miles out of town. We called the property and they helped us find it. because of the time consumed we actually did not see the beautiful river sites in the town and just passed through. I would suggest staying more in town and that Hotel.com get better information.
