Nice location on the lake. Disappointed Julijana was closed while we were there.

Historic property within walking distance of town, the must see sights and a multitude of dining options. The balcony with lake view made the stay even better! Carman restaurant is well worth a visit……or two and the cream of garlic soup was absolutely delicious!!

I went during the end of September so not sure what it's like in the summer. The hotel itself was nice and obviously a great location. Nothing really stood out but it was good for what I needed. It was within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The buffet breakfast was fine. There is a dress code in the evenings and for dinner which made me feel a bit uncomfortable as I didn't know this in advance and packed for Slovenia outdoor adventuring not for dressing up so just keep that in mind.
Parking was about $30/day Canadian. There are parking attendants that take cash from you when you first park but the hotel also charges so I had to let them know I already paid the attendants - they were totally fine about it.
I would say that the staff weren't the friendliest compared to other places I stayed in Slovenia but that could just be my opinion.
I do feel as though it was a bit overpriced for the time of year I went and the amenities and service level but again, just my opinion.
