Reasonable Bitburg Hotel Option
Posted 15 Jun 2024 on HotelsI was traveling with my 2 kids so we wanted 3 beds. In typical European fashion it was 3 beds next to each other but it was comfy able and it worked well for 2 nights.
I was worried because this was the old air base billeting building but it was nice, I felt safe, and it was clean.
The hotel doesn’t have AC, which I knew when I booked, so be mindful of you are traveling in the summer but when we went, early June, having the windows cracked was all we needed.

This is a no frills hotel, but was clean and served it's purpose

We had an ok stay here, but there are no extras. The wifi does not work at all. It is not close to the city center. The breakfast was decent for $13 a person. Very basic, though. Rooms are noisy, and no AC, so we left the windows open. Used earplugs for noise. It was very clean and everyone was very friendly. For a quick stay, this isn’t a bad choice. I feel like for what we got, it’s more of a $75 a night hotel and not what we paid.

Overall the property and room served its purpose. You could tell this was an old US base dorm/barracks. I don’t think they changed a single piece of furniture when it converted to a hotel. It seemed somewhat clean and we had little interaction with staff. Let’s just say it was “fine”.

Weekend
Posted 19 Sep 2022 on HotelsOverall clean. Trier is 25 minutes away. Buffet dinner was pricey but we had already eaten. Wi-fi was horrible none on our end room 116. Staff greeted us very helpful. Our neighbor were loud there kids. Walls are thin. We would stay there in the future.

This property is not located near to a city centre so you require your own transport to get around. Staff were friendly. Breakfast and dinner were good. However, the rooms had limited amenities - no tea or coffee making facilities. However, friendly & accommodating staff provided a flask with hot water which was needed for young children.

It appeared that this hotel was dedicated to Charles Lindbergh. We thing that it may have been previously part of the US air force base
