I like old hotels but this one is way overpriced for what you get. Plus I had to listen to a 5 minute rundown of all the rules of this place, which include being responsible for damage to antique furnishings so I had to take a picture of everything in the (tiny) room and email it to the hotel so I wouldn't be charged for any damage I didn't cause. The restaurant was closed due to a gas problem, the elevator was nonfunctional, and a kid was plonking on the second story piano late in the evening. There are no employees on site from 11pm-7am which makes me wonder what would happen in case of a fire or other emergency, and just forget about getting help with something late at night. Parking rules are "park where you can, which excludes anything near the hotel". All this and a 10x10 room for over $200/night? Nah, I'll try one of the other hotels next time.

Proximity was great. Manager was rude and mean at check-in. Elevator was broken. Arduous stairs. Water in room either too hot or cold (no medium), and only trickled out. TV didn't work at all. Dinner was good. Breakfast was the opposite, with French toast not cooked and order not coming out together. But waitess was nice. Disappointing stay, especially for price. But location was great.

The Copper Queen is a National Historic Landmark and opened in 1902. It is the longest continuously operating hotel in the state of Arizona. When it opened, there was no elevator which was put into the hotel in 1941. As such, to restore the building to its original state, the elevator would need to be removed. It is actually the only hotel in the town of Bisbee with an elevator at all. So to leave a low score for something the building should not even have is unfair and in poor taste. Also, you did not know how to use the shower handle so it didn't trickle or or only be hot or cold, it was the incorrect way you were using it. The TV worked, but internet was down in the entire town during part of your stay which is beyond our control.

Elevator not working; bar closed; no restaurant menu information; they lock the door at 10:00 pm due for safety- what does that tell you about the neighborhood.
Did not stay - checked out - fighting for refund

James, you did state to our staff that you loved the hotel but not Bisbee and are just merely making stuff up to get money back. All hotels rarely give money back because this is the way its done. Our elevator works, the bar and restaurant were open, the hotel is beautiful and the town is safe and extremely wonderful so all of your statements were completely untrue. Shame on you for talking badly about a national historic landmark all for money.

We booked the most haunted room for my husbands birthday. We were so excited to stay in that room! After weeks of waiting we arrived to the hotel and were told the room wasn’t available even though they had sent us several emails confirming we would have that room. It was such a bummer.Instead they put us in the Teddy Rosevelt room. The bed skirt had a giant yellow stain on it. The light fixture had cobwebs all over it which is disappointing considering we paid extra to have a suite. Overall just a really disappointing trip

Nicole, you were give a free upgrade to a much more expensive double queen special instead of the small queen room. We checked and there was one tiny string on the gorgeous chandelier which we do apologize for. There was no stain we could see on the bed skirt and we are extremely precise with our housekeeping. If you still would like to stay in the Julia Lowell room, please contact us and we can arrange that for you.
