All as expected, nice, clean, comfortable etc...the only down sides were that the TV in the room didnt work. The lighting was very bright, there was no dimmer or small side light....and lastly the surprise parking charge on top of the booking! Maybe there was a TV charge I didnt pay!?....

Overall the hotel lobby is very nice. Rooms are all clean. Bed was uncomfortable as had a dip in the middle. Only 1 pillow each side of the bed. Shower too powerfull and bathroom ended up getting soaking wet. Also bathroom smelt of drains which was not good at all.

Room was a nice size, clean and warm, tea & coffee station available which was great. Personal preference for he bed was a little firm for me but hubby said it was great for him.

Quick check in by polite and friendly staff. Comfortable room, clean and quiet. Used quick check out service, great value for the cost and easy walking distance to the centre

I liked the fact this hotel is so close to campus and very convenient for all my needs. The rooms are clean and tidy basic no fancy trimmings. The bathroom is like a space age capsule with a great shower, mine was very powerful. Breakfast was good and hearty. Loved that I could leave my car and just walking in to the city centre. What I did find was The menu is basic on an evening and limited options over a few nights lead me to having to order in or eat away. Struggled to get on the internet to the point I gave in and couldn’t do uni work in an evening. Other than that yes I will stay here again.

Overall, the Ibis is a good place to stay for a few nights in Coventry. It is located within walking distance of both the train station and the city centre. The staff are, for the most part, friendly and helpful (there was one exception on the morning I left, but it was early and no one is at their best at 6.30am). The first room I was given was far too noisy, to the extent that sleeping was not easy - the room (132) is right next to a busy main road/roundabout and the old sash windows offer almost no sound proofing. I asked to be moved - and by the time I returned on my second day, I had been transferred to a room that faced out the back of the hotel. Strangely, this room, although in a far quieter location, had a far better double-glazed (non-sash) window that silenced any stray noise from outside. The hotel need to consider changing the windows in any road-facing rooms to match these, as that would probably help to significantly reduce the problem. Breakfast was a buffet, but sufficient. Noise aside, the rooms were comfortable and the shower worked very well. Sort out the noise and this would be closer to a 5-star review

The Ibis is perfect as usually. Lets say predictable perfection in hotels brand. Very very clean. Design and details are very good. Price to quality excellent.
