Upon checking in, our room was switched to a double queen when I booked and single king. The lady at the front desk let me know this has been according and charged me additional money to grant my original request. Not amused or pleased.

It is disappointing to hear that your reservation was not honored as expected and that an additional charge was applied to provide the room type you originally booked. Unfortunately, when reservations are not made with us, we are not aware of the details prior to guest arrival. Therefore, room types are based on availability at that time.
