Lovely location, overpriced hotel
Posted 4 Aug 2019 on HotelsOverall good impression, but way too overpriced for what it is.
Nice comfortable room, could be better planning of bathroom and shower area, and not very convenient for charging devices.
Also, too many additional charges for already expensive stay - parking is very expensive, sun chair is extra also - these could definitely be included in the price, plus tourist tax additionally.
Breakfast is made to look fancy, when in reality could benefit from more variety and fresh ingredients.

Great hotel at Binz, Great location
Posted 18 Oct 2018 on HotelsNice hotel well located. Rooms were nice though dimly lit. Great breakfast. Nice spa with a small heated pool with sea water in it. Was given some jam as a farewell gift from the staff. Rooms were warm at night and sleep was a little difficult as there is no air conditioning. But in all I would go there again. They charge a hefty amount for parking in the garage which should be complimentary especially when off season

Great 5 star at Binz.

Only flip side lighting is too dim in room and hotel and there is no cooling air conditioner in room - only dyson fan. Was told that the owner wanted this for the ecological footprint reduction. Restaurant was good but rarely anyone goes there for dinner. Breakfast was fabulous. Staff were friendly and always ready to help. Has a spa but I didn’t use it.

Disappointed
Posted 14 Jun 2018 on HotelsWe booked this hotel for our short stay in Binz as its location was ideal and the hotel looked stunning on its web site. Indeed, the finishes were high end but unfortunately we left disappointed.
The lack of air-conditioning was a real surprise for a 5 Star Hotel. We were surprised the room had no coffee making facilities, that there was nowhere to securely store our bikes (we were offered to leave them in the unlocked basement car park but there was nowhere to securely chain them within the car park , a real surprise in bike friendly Germany. Having arrived early, we understood that the room might not be available but we were starting to get antsy by 3.45pm when our room still wasn’t ready to occupy.
Some of the staff were warm and friendly while others were clearly having a bad day.
Overall, we left disappointed. Let down by a property that offered a truly memorable time in beautiful Binz yet only able to serve up average.

Luxury hotel next to the beach

Pros: The central location.
Cons: A comprehensive initial tour.
Location: The sandy beach to relax on, great food nearby to eat, artistic shops, and trains that travel to nearby attractions.
The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in. In addition, the hotel was centrally located to shopping, the beach, trains, and other restaurants. The only downside was not using the spa; this was not part of the initial tour and as such we were not aware of this amenity until the last day.

Top Lage, super Hotelzimmer, sehr sauber und ruhig. Das Personal war sehr bemüht und zuvorkommend. Kritik: Das Frühstück war überschaubar und leider merkt man stark den Personalmangel (teilweise schleppender Service, Tische wurden nicht zeitig aufgeräumt, teils sehr späte Nachfrage nach Getränken etc.). Fazit: Wir werden wieder Gäste im Hotel und hoffen, dass sich bis dahin der Service beim Frühstück verbessert.

Seehr zentral gelegen. Positiv, aber da kann es zu Festivalzeiten auch mal laut werden. Frühstück hervorragend!
