"My self and my 4 year old son stayed here for a night in January. The hotel, is by far the best family friendly hotel I have had the pleasure of staying at. The pool is like a warm bath, the cinema room is fantastic, the rooms are huge, the beds are so comfortable, the kids menu is brilliant and allergy friendly and the staff are so helpfull. I really could go on. We have booked again for another stay this month. "

"Excellent customer service and very lovely hotel. Totally enjoyed my stay. It was very relaxing and I highly recommend. Got upgraded to a vista room and had a lovely view of Princes street. Even though I extended my stay to a smaller room, I was still allowed to stay in the same upgraded room for the rest of my stay and given a discount! Complimentary minibar in the room with drinks and snacks topped up everyday. Thanks for a very lovely stay. Highly recommend"

"We booked for a short 5 day stay and were glad to realise it was such a close proximity to restaurants, souvenir stores, Victoria Street and the famous Edinburgh castle! The staff were friendly upon arrival HOWEVER we were told by one gentlemen that our room was not ready but to rest assure when it would be, we would have a wonderful view of the castle during our stay. "Lovely hotel, great service. Loved the room for me on my own but personally wouldn’t want to be sharing with someone else as the toilet and shower are in the room behind frosted glass. If you go to the toilet in the night a very bright night light comes on and takes a long time to go off lighting up the room. "

"Everything is very good. A huge improvement in all areas since being taken over by Marriott. The morning coffee however really lets the hotel down. Very weak filter coffee severed from a large container is not what you would expect from a 4 star establishment."

"Hotel is 10 min walk from Edinburgh Waverley station and walking distance to all the main sites in Edinburgh. Saw a few negative, reviews on the Ibis check in website for this hotel, but other than a congested reception area at times, receptionists were excellent and friendly, the room I had was quite large and very quiet, including the whole floor.
