"Tugawe sits on a remote location overlooking parts of Caramoan. The resort is on a lush hill, peaceful, and soo green all around. Caramoan itself is amazing. Tugawe, while it might be a little outdated and has the limits of a resort in a remote location (finicky hot water, weak toilet, etc) makes up for its service. "Nice resort on Malapascua. I had a room without an aircon, wasn't too bad if you open the window. Wi-fi was decent. Bathroom was pretty basic. It's centrally located so not a long walk to get to all areas of the island. I'd stay here again if other options aren't available."

"Not at all like the pictures. Internet was awful. No fridge, bed was hard, one sheet, no blanket or comforter, coffee was instant, water was brackish, a lot of poverty, tried to put in awful room and shared bathroom, door fell off when I went to use it, paid for an ‘upgrade’ to have my own bathroom. Window in bathroom wouldn’t close. Go to one of the other hotels. "

"For my money, Blue Corals is the best value on Malapascua Island. The staff are amazing and even gave me a free upgrade to a room with a private balcony with a ocean view. The Mango Pancakes at breakfast Time are to die for, my one and only complaint is it seems the island shuts down around 8pm and their is nothing really to do."

"Lovely place tucked away in Cantanduanes. They allow you to use a gas scooter for a very reasonable rate, making it easy to get around the island. Very homey place, and absolutely gorgeous views of both sunrise and sunset. "
