This lovely hotel in a charming building exceeded our expectations. Lots of charm and well appointed. Sylvie, the manager was welcoming and helpful in finding parking and offering recommendations around town. Great location near the market, beaches, and top tier shopping - while being set back a few streets so very quiet as well. Will stay here again!

Very convenient location for restaurants and shopping. Despite reception closed at 2pm everyday, the WhatsApp response is very prompt and helpful.

Lovely family run hotel
Posted 9 Oct 2019 on HotelsAlcyon is a lovely, boutique family run hotel. We had a nice stay in a balcony room overlooking the street. Staff were really helpful and the breakfast is great - served in a beautiful room. Location is great - easy walking distance to the beach and lots of bars/restaurants. Highly recommended!

Posted 29 Sep 2019 on HotelsVery comfortable small hotel in central Biarritz. Very friendly and welcoming. We stayed a week and were given a room with a balcony on the top floor. Sometimes a little noisy at night, but there is double glazing, shutters and air conditioner so really not a problem.

This is situated on an apex of 3 streets in central Biarritz & is both very quiet & accessible for the beach, shops & several bus lines (the stop is Foch). There are several restaurants on Rue de Verdun. Breakfasts at the Alcyon are very good with eggs to be boiled to choice, juices & unlimited Nespresso coffee. The staff are friendly, informed, & helpful. Rooms with a balcony view are spacious, south-facing, & recommended. We cannot recommend this Hotel too highly.

Not all rooms are the same.
Posted 21 Aug 2019 on HotelsRoom was very dark, en-suite very shabby,restrictive, measured approx 3.5 x 6. Asked for a change, got none. Room next door was spacious and nicely decorated. Hotel in a good location.a better room would have made a massive difference to this hotel's review and to our holidays.
