Location and staff are great. Room condition and comfort are lower than expected.

The hotel is perfectly located just off of one of the main thoroughfares in the Dordogne Valley, but away from the traffic noise. The view from the window of our room overlooked the Dordogne River and the Medieval era buildings of Beynac. The short hike up the steep cobblestone path to the castle of Beynac begins just across the street from the hotel. You can spend a day of sightseeing in the area without moving your car. The breakfast is worth the money for its convenience, but there are a number of decent to fine restaurants in this quaint village. The hotel has 3 free parking spaces across the street and there is a large public parking area by the highway a block away.

Good hotel for a night or a longer stay. Easy walk to restaurants. Parking close by. Good breakfast. WiFi a bit slow but free. Would recommend.

Solo stay in amazing Beynac, France

The concierge at the hotel was incredibly nice and helpful, and spoke perfect English. She got me a reservation at the amazing sister restaurant down the hill for that night and recommended some walks and activities to do in town. She was also able to secure a taxi for me to get me back to the train station some distance away. Breakfast was particularly amazing, with fantastic breads, charcuterie and homemade jams. I only wished I was staying longer!! I loved the room and it was very cozy, but it might have been a problem for people with mobility issues - up 2 flights of stairs and no elevator available. Bathroom was also small, but well laid out and plentiful hot water, and charmingly decorated. Overall, it was wonderful for people without problems with stairs.

Very basic hotel. Bed comfortable. Breakfast good. Shower leaves a lot of water in the floor. Left towels to be replaced. Only one bath towel replaced the other one was hung to dry which it didn't. No Kleenex. No where to set toiletries in bathroom

Pros: Receptionist and other staff were very friendly and helpful, location was good and car parking available
Cons: Small shower with curtain that didn't quite contain the liquid
Location: Opposite a really nice restaurant, a beautiful walk to chateau and river, short drive to Sarlat, and other locations
