They did not tell me that the roads were up around the village and it was impossible to get to the place . This was a DDay night before stay so it was emotionally important couldn’t if get them by phone . Went to tourist info and they told me it was impossible after 2 hours of trying . Luckily I managed to get a cancellation in Caen as all hotels were sold out , if we hadn’t we would have had to sleep in our car . Awful

Sylvie

We had a warm welcome from our hostess, Sylvie on arrival at this exceptional property on the edge of the picture-postcard medieval village of Beuvron-en-Auge in the heart of the Pays d’Auge in Normandy. Our ground floor room was attractive in white and pale greys with lovely cotton pillows duvet on a wonderfully comfortable queen-sized bed.
This area is rich in verdant peace and tranquility with orchards full of apple blossom (at end of April), calm Normande cattle or race horses in the meadows and wild flowers and orchids blooming in the verges.
Sylvie and her husband Pascal have created a garden and home where fresh flowers abound. The morning sun streams through the cottage windows at breakfast where Sylvie dresses her dining table beautifully with a different colour theme each day. In the evening, if not cloudy, there is a sunset view from the loungers sited at the top of the garden.
But back to breakfast, which was a varied selection of local produce, much of which we hadn't experienced before - the excellent 'cremeux orange,' perfect lemon curd and jams, a croissant in baguette form and a whole range of local breads - with local apple juice. Plus good coffee and a variety of teas, a voyage of Norman petit déjeuner discovery!
Sylvie refreshed our room and provided new mineral water every day and was so helpful with information about places to go - including lunch at an outstanding restaurant, Au P'tit Normand at Cambremer. Truly memorable! Merci, madame!

We received a really warm welcome from Sylvie in her beautiful home in the lovely village of Beuvron-en-Auge. Our room and bathroom were comfortable and pleasant with everything we needed, while breakfast, served on the terrace, was delicious with homemade cake and jams. An excellent address which we strongly recommend to anyone visiting this beautiful corner of Normandy.

We found another "favorite" place!! This property was amazing and the hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating! The day we travelled early to Mont Saint Michel, a lovely basket with breakfast was waiting at our door. Absolutelt a place to which we will return!

Loved the location, the house it was in was beautiful, in a wonderful village and our hostess, Silvie was brilliant in taking care of us. Breakfasts were simple but very nice nonetheless. On the downside. Nowhere to sit inside so had to lie on bed and no in room coffee facility which we would have liked. So just reading in the evening over the four night stay got a bit boring sowe ended up on our ipads☹️
