The pool area is beautiful. However, the pool water was a little murky and the interior of the pool was in need of a thorough scrubbing. I have stayed here before and enjoyed a quiet atmosphere at the pool with the oldies playing in the background. This visit was different. Loudspeakers blared so loudly with popular Indian music to the point that I could not relax. The control box for the a/c window unit was hanging by tape but it did work. The tiles in the washroom were dirty needed basic scrubbing. Grout was black in the tub. I went to the spa for a massage. I was left with bruises on my arm. This property is overpriced for what it is. For a similar or lower price, the Villagio might be a better choice. They also blast loud Indian music at the pool but the mattresses in the room are far more comfortable that those of Alagoa. Overall, I was disappointed—especially with the loud and bad music at the pool during daytime hours.

Alagoa is a lovely resort. Family friendly and also relaxing for a solo trip. For India this resort has good cleanliness & I would certainly recommend. It’s a 5 minute walk from the beach which is a beautiful spot to relax in. Down side is the taxis are expensive and will do all they can to rip you off. Be prepared for a haggle war! Everything else is wonderful!

A stay in a green and peaceful environment

Posted 26 Feb 2021 on Hotels
Ala Goa is a family friendly hotel. The best rooms are the Eco Cottages that we stayed in. The area is lush with greenery and foliage and you feel like you are staying in a tropical rain forest. That gave us the pleasure of staying here. The housekeeping was regulary done. The restaurant unfortunately was the quite a let down and we did not eat many meals there. The breakfast which was included was also average. It is a 10 minute walk from outside the resort to Betalbatim beach.

A great little place, quiet and away from everything. Not too far from the beach but they have a lovely pool so we stayed there. Friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again

Wonderful Holiday experience

I really enjoyed the stay at Ala Goa- it was clean and peaceful. Desmond was the perfect host at breakfast every morning. We were given great advice where to go and explore for the day. The beach shacks serve well priced delish food and drinks. I would love to visit again.
