"I could not enjoy the property as for the 10 days that I was there most the time I was ill. I think this may have to do with the lack of deep cleaning. Hot water was also an issue. It took several request for a heater. The Wi-Fi never worked."

"It has a great view of Lalibela from the bar, the restaurant, and the patio. It seems the property has not kept up probably due to the downtown of tourism and economy. My room had only one working table lamp so I ate my dinner in the dark. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was an average stay overall. "

"Of all the hotels the i have stayed at all over the world this has been my best experience. If you are planning any excursions please use the travel guide Belay. He is very knowledge about the history past and presnt of this area with reasonable rates."

"Friendly staff, well-appointed rooms, functional wi-fi, great view. Mosquitoes at night and no screens drove me batty. Lalibela has flies during the day and mosquitoes at night, so other guest houses may have the same issue."

"Prachtige locatie, mooi uitzicht. Echt leven tussen de locals. Bijzondere ervaring. Mensen zijn heel gastvrij, goede verzorging. Geen voorzieningen van water en elektriciteit. "This is a very basic hotel. But despite the many shortfalls ( like no toilet amenities, breakfast was just eggs and bread, no wifi in rooms, hotel is on the main road so it is noisy) I can still say that I made a good decision to stay in this hotel. They communicated well with me prior to my arrival so they made proper arrangements for my hotel transfer. They also hooked me up with a local guide for tours. Staff was helpful. The local guide the hotel contacted for me was VERY good. His name is Abeje Mengesha. His WhatsApp number is +251 92 160 0830 He is college educated and is very knowledgeable. He is very kind and genuinely enjoys sharing his knowledge. He has a very good eye and loves photography. He took lots of pictures and videos of me. He also speaks very good English so I really enjoyed our interaction. In Ethiopia, most guides have thick accent and speak broken English. Having a great guide made all the difference as I was able to overlook the shortfalls of the hotel. "
