Great property for the cost. Bed was confortable and location was ideal for exploring the mountains and trails. Breakfast was fresh and had good selection. Parking was free and plenty for all customers. Restaurant in house was good and perfect for a night in. Only problem was that the ceiling was too low in the room. For those taller than 6’0” it will be a problem.

Awesom finale
Posted 21 Sep 2018 on HotelsWe arrived last and the owner only had 1 hour to serve us dinner before a group of 25 came. She was very pleasant and we never felt rushed. The room was very up-to-date and comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer just for the view off the terrace.

Lovely hotel in the middle of nowhere
Posted 3 May 2018What a great hotel and lovely staff, we were the only guests, the night we stayed. So the sauna and steam room weren’t on.
Lovely meal I. The restaurant too

Nice rustic Black Forest Hotel
Posted 12 Mar 2018 on EbookersWe went for a late saison ski weekend to the Black Forest. Our plan was to stay close to the Feldberg. However, nearly everything was booked or was too expensive. So we decided to look for an accommodation in a radius of 30min to Feldberg. Than we found this super nice rustic hotel. Rooms were very clean and they are doing a dayli room service. Due to the fact that this is an very old (renovated) house you should be aware that the room ceilings are low. People higher than 1.85meter could feel a little uncomfortable.

Simple, but charming
Posted 6 Oct 2016 on HotelsWhat a lovely little hotel! The first two floors date to 1681, and the lounge has a lovely ambiance. We arrived quiet late, but the super-helpful and friendly evening manager made sure to let us know that we should order dinner right away if we wanted to eat. We took her advice and ordered a wonderful dinner and then spent some time relaxing with our own bottle of wine, in the lounge next to the fireplace. The views from the back of the hotel are just beautiful, and got us in the mood for our hikes the next day.
The rooms are quite plain, but comfortable and the showers are strong and hot. What more do you really need?
This was a rare trip that we took with friends and not our dogs. I just wish the hotel accepted dogs, so we could return another time.

Wonderful get away
Posted 30 Sep 2015 on HotelsHotel is in a small town in the Black Forest and is surrounded by beautiful scenery and trails. There is an excellent traditional restaurant on bottom floor, free wifi, and a sauna. Enjoyed the atmosphere immensely and would love to spend a week there. If you want to pay with a Visa/MC credit card there is a 2% fee, so bring enough € to cover your stay or have whatever the prevailing debit/credit card is there.

Fantastic Service
Posted 11 May 2014 on HotelsThis family run hotel was superb, the level of care and attention the staff gave to us was exemplary. The location is superb with beautiful views especially when enjoying a great continental breakfast . I can recommend this hotel to all future guests they will not be disappointed whether using the amenities like the sauna or the evening meal.
