Everything you want as a solo traveler, great location friendly staff and nice facilities. Best restaurant in Bern (Marzilibrücke) is only steps away.

This hostel is family-friendly and it felt safe as a solo female traveller. There is a continental breakfast that is free. The staff was responsive to questions and multilingual if you are traveling internationally. The only downside is that parking is sparse since it is in the city's center. Other than that, it's a fantastic base since one can walk to restaurants/bars, shops, historical sites, and supermarkets.

Was pleasantly surprise, but like today at the youth hostel, considering that I’m 65! Comfortable, clean, friendly, efficient, and good value
