Great hotel located in a central area in Bern. About a 5 minute walk to the train station. Rooms are small but doable, especially for a night or two. Coffee and tea are free in the lobby. You can also purchase a glass of wine or make any drink available for an extra fee. Right next to an amazing coffee shop with fantastic muffins. Also 7 minutes away from a cool cocktail bar called Department 66. Would stay again!

This is a beautiful, historic hotel in the centre of Bern, but if you're planning on doing any kind of sleeping, go elsewhere. They even provide basic (and hopeless) ear plugs next to the bed. I paid 150 CHF for a night here, and checked out within 4 hours. Even with my Sony Noise Cancelling headphones, I had a headache after being in the room for 30 minutes. Go elsewhere. Find a hotel just a few roads parallel to this one... it'll make all the difference. Lovely hotel receptionists though, very helpful and friendly.

Hotel is rather basic, but very clean and conveniently located. Windows facing the street- not the main one, but still street noise could be noticed. Staff is great, and very helpful. We booked the cheapest room- it is small, other rooms are larger and better. Free happy hour drink was a pleasant surprise.

Convenient and a short walk from Bern train station. The Saturday we were check in, there was a Saturday market with many stalls. Free coffee and beverage counter on ground floor. From 3pm, guests were treated to a free first drink. Reception were very helpful and chatty. Room was basic and clean.

Everything was great about this hotel: location close to train station, very walkable, close to dining and local activities, very friendly and helpful staff, clean hotel. The only reason I took away one star was you can hear the people above you walking in their room, and the room smelled musty (probably due to carpet).

Location - It is about 7 mins walking from Bern Train station and the hotel sits in the old city park which is just 5 mins walking to the central part. Even though it only takes 20 mins walking to bear park! Staff - Amazing friendly and super helpful Love the free coffee & tea provided in the room and lobby area Room - It is well maintained with bathtub (rare!) Seems no air-condition provided but it is totally fine for me
