My 3rd time at this hotel and i must say its gone down hill, its clean but the staff are not welcoming atall can not even be bothered to say good morning, having said that the bloke behind the bar was first rate happy and chatty, altho the staff did nothing wrong i think most of them would benefit from a course in customer relations.

We stayed at the Mercure Checkpoint Charlie for three days in November, just before the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. The area is dense with history, much of it dark. Excellent location, walkable, U-bahn, lots of restaurants. Our double room was huge and very well-appointed. Would definitely stay again.

Great location. Lovely staff. Really huge room. Very pleasant for a family stay. Good breakfast. Fresh pancakes a huge hit with my son. Bar man lovely and remembered our order every evening. Loved it

We had a very spacious family room, the location was ideal for getting around Berlin and the hotel was very comfortable.

Breakfast was good but the same every day. It was a nice but oddly laid out suite. The toilet is by the front door which is quite far from the bedroom. Staff was polite but not very helpful.

Great property, friendly staff and good breakfast. Location was also great with many attractions within walking distance.

Very well situated hotel with helpful staff. The room was lovely and comfortable but I have marked it down slightly because the bedroom was a bit dated. The bathroom, however, was lovely and I am guessing it has been recently updated

Smell from sewer can’t be ignored. The cleaning staff had to open the window every morning to easy the smell which ended up with mosquitoes in the room. The front desk staff were not friendly, not even say hi back when we greeted them.
