Overall the stay was average. The hotel is close to the train station. During the evenings (when I was in the room) there were various smells of either cooked food or sewage. Rooms are very small.

We enjoyed everything that was around the hotel such at the Ferris wheel and the clubs/restaurants. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The only thing is that the AC was not working in my room but other than that, it was a great experience!

Great location for the subway however rooms are basic (but clean) and very small. Rooms do not have ceiling lighting and rely on lamps alone, so beware if you need good lighting. Bed comfortable, but plastic under sheet is a little strange to get used to. Booked Classico Plus rooms (queried this at reception ) as website clearly states overlooking the wheel or courtyard, but our rooms instead overlooked side streets which were noisy in the morning (around 0530) with window aejar. Not worth the additional cost. Kettle is provided but the paper cups and wooden stirrers could be replaced with proper cups and teaspoons in my opinion. TV works fine but there are no English channels. Service at reception friendly and hotel has a pleasant atmosphere, just a shame they do not offer breakfast.

Highly recommend for visitors to munich. Next to the train station for easy access to the city and in a very walkable area.

For us the location was great, the adjacent building has a Hertz office and we were able to return our car here (from Berlin) and unload luggage to the room from the parking garage. The Ostbahnhof (East Munich Train Station) is across the street with a short 10-15 min walk to the platforms for the S-Bahn, U-Bahn and Trains. Our next leg was train to Zurich, so we walked over and took a U-Bahn (S-Bahn also works) to the Hopbahnhof across the central Old Town, then took the train from there. The area of the hotel is a modern upgrade/ retro shopping, dinning area with office and factory blocks. The large Ferris wheel is right there at the hotel. It was easy to catch a S-Bahn to the Old Town -Marianplatz -city hall square. There is no A/C, the windows open -some road noise in morning, the air isn't cooled, just venting air. This seems to be a "Green" CO2 thing along with the requirement to put your cardkey in a wall bracket to enable the room lights. When the card is in the bracket, you can use the lights, when you take the card out, all the lights turn out. I used a few of my Business cards instead of the room card and that worked just fine. Saw this system elsewhere in Germany. They were providing free large pretzels, water and beer for sale. It's not hard, but walking from U/S Bahn stations into the Octoberfest (Wiesn), without the high prices and crazy busy loudness of staying near Octoberfest.

Rooms were incredibly tiny and cramped for two people. Front desk charged me 10 euros for two hour early check-in. Daughter arrived an hour later and was not charged. I should have just sat in the lobby lol. Close to the metro station which was a plus but overall, there are better places to stay. We booked during Oktoberfest so choice was limited.
