Great place for a holiday. Overall place was abit old but it is still clean and u think they are undergoing upgrading work. Quiet place to stay with a convenience store nearby. Would recommend.

Property decor was a little 70s retro, which was fun for us. That said, the property was clean. We got the half board package which included buffet dinner and lunch. Both had a wide selection of food and were good. Our room had great views of both mountain and sea. In the morning, we saw steam from the onsen in the mountain. Staff were friendly.

The Kamenoi Hotel in Beppu is convenient, and inexpensive, but it has a few big problems. One of the elevators did not work, and this caused constant congestion and long waits for the remaining two elevators. In fact, along with a lot of the guests, I began using a service elevator, which worked much better. (Too bad for the guests who did not know about it.) And I must say, this hotel is quite filthy and odiferous. Though the staff were nice, and the breakfast buffet fairly good, this is not a hotel I can recommend at this time.

Hotel little old but confortable bed. Conveniant , walkable from the station Staffs speak english. Nice lunch buffet.

Hotel is little old, but very conveniant, walkable from the station. Have good lunch buffet but not many choice for the diner at the lobby restaurant. Staffs are nice and speak english.
