My first day there and my passports were stolen from my bedroom I’m elderly and had to take a 4 hour ride there and back to Madrid in order to go to the embassy to get new ones my wife’s jewelry was also stolen. I would never go back.

Posted 24 Feb 2023 on HotelsPreviously stayed at sister hotels and enjoyed so thought I’d give it a go. Can’t go wrong with all inclusive great booze and food. Hotel was clean, room and had sea view, bit rough in places but for price not gonna moan
The cons
Absolutely nowhere to sit indoors apart from 2 sofas in reception and couple of tables on 1st floor. My mam really struggled as she has mobility issues so struggled with the modern low chairs/bed or bar stools on roof and round pool area
For money paid I’m happy, wouldn’t pay top price out of season

My stay at Villa del Mar Hotel
Posted 11 Jun 2022 on HotelsFrom my opinion this hotel is overrated. It is a 4 star hotel but looks like a 3 star hotel. I was kind of disappointed, the pictures are misleading.
Location is very good though and you have plenty to do around.

Great location on flat esplanade so… good for people with disabilities.
Food choices were not the best on this visit, I would have thought we may get turkey on Christmas Day. We were on first sitting Christmas night and the second sitting were provided with table gifts etc we did not get any
Minimal entertainment where their was nightly entertainment on our past visits. Maybe it was just the time of year/ covid but it has certainly changed!
Lack of seating in lobby area which was also cold.
Staff friendly.

Me gustó la atención. La comida excelente..el aire acondicionado de la habitación no estaba en óptimas condiciones . Tuvimos que solicitar ser revisado .. el personal del hotel muy atento .
