I choose this hotel because it was the only hotel close to the BIEC on Hotels.com. Big mistake. This is a local resort, not a hotel. Horrible WiFi, Nothing nearby. They don't even offer a shuttle to the BIEC. Only one restaurant with mediocre food. Tons of mosquitoes. Wedding receptions by the pool playing loud music until late in the evening. On the positive side - the front desk staff were helpful and friendly.

Shocking for a claimed 5 star hotel

Pros: Good pool, excellent Multi-cuisine restaurant and breakfasts The head Chef was very approachable
Cons: As above. Listen to customers- we would still like our money back for one nights' stay as we checked out before 11 am on the 15th December
Location: Isolated, nothing really to do near by
Check in staff very helpful. No telephone facilities for guests to use from the room which is frustrating being international guests. Poolside bar can get busy with guests ( mainly men) and they can over-run the swimming pool- my wife and children felt very uncomfortable in the pool due to this. The rooms were definitely not of 5 star standard- the A/C was broken, and the carpets/ upholstery were dated. I fed this back to the President of the Hotel who arranged a meal for us at the Chinese restaurant in the Hotel to say sorry - the food was ok, however the service was shocking- there seemed to be no communication between the Chef and the waiters meaning we had to repeat our order 3-4 times at least and no-one knew what was on the menu or not! Wouldn't go back again- I checked out early and even then we were refused money back on the room when I asked.

Disappointing stay, poor customer service

Pros: rooms, pool, garden
Cons: customer service, dining, quicker service, better customer service with quality staff.
Air conditioning didnt work and customer service slow to respond. The front desk staff was unorganized, and although there were multiple people at the front desk everybody needed to ask someone else to get answers or to respond to my requests. The car service travel desk was the most reliable, otherwise the front desk was useless. I had multiple calls (about 4) the morning of my departure asking me what time I was departing. I told them 4x. Also my air conditioning didnt work all night, I struggled getting my room service order correct, and had wifi problems which delayed me checking into my flight for 2 hours. Everything seemed really slow to respond and overall rate the customer service 2/10. I also asked the front desk if they would accommodate me in any way for my inconveniences of stay and they said no. That says a lot about customer service at a resort. The resort itself is really beautiful, rooms are nice and pool was great, although would have loved some lounge chairs by the pool to lay on.

Here are the issues I experienced: 1. Dirty bed-sheet stained with blood & other body fluids and lots of hair. 2. Took 2 hrs for the hotel management to come and change bedding. 3. Room smelled like gutter. 4. Bath math dirty, removed the second day but not changed. 4. Free shuttle service to exhibition was received after 45 mins wait and reminding at least 10 staff members. 5. And the worse " NO MANAGER WISHED/GREETED" . Very unfortunate that the staff is not mentored and coached by the management. Advise to others: NOT RECOMMENDED.

The location was great. The rooms are good and all rooms are pool facing. The food was decent but a little overpriced. The Italian restaurant's food was great. The TV Cable connection was very bad quality and most of the channels showing were in south Indian languages. Would expect a Dish connection for such prices. Also the Wifi never worked for us.
