Good quality hotel

Nice hotel just opposite the shopping mall. Food choices at the mall if you don't want to eat at hotel, otherwise you will need to get a taxi to go to other places. No provision of space to sit with colleagues and work. Can be difficult to get a drink at the bar as the staff are focused on the restaurants

It is right opposite a large mall, but I particularly liked the helpful reception staff.

Not worth it

I have never done this before, but I actually considered asking to be refunded for my stay at this hotel. I traveled around Brazil for 10 days, staying at 3 different locations, and this hotel was the worst I've ever stayed in. No one told me the room was solar powered, so I thought the electricity was out in the room. There were holes in the wall and trash on the floor when I checked in. The light fixtures were pulling out of the wall and the furniture was falling apart. The WiFi didn't work in my room, and the TV was not hooked up, so it only played one channel, and no one from the hotel was willing or able to fix this. The room next to me played their TV loudly all night long and seemed to be an adjoining room to mine, so I couldn't sleep. The halls were dark and it was impossible to see. The first floor of the hotel and the restaurants are lovely, camoflouging the crumbling, dirty, non-functioning upper floors. The quality of the room was more in line with a hostel than a hotel. The overall cleanliness, quality of the room and amenities, and level of service, does not match the price of the room in any way.

Great service and great hotel all around. However if you do not speak Portuguese, the language barrier can be difficult with some staff.

Location is a plus; not noisy. Friendly and attentive staff. Valet parking is very slow and at times unresponsive.
