The staff was amazing! However, the accommodations and the restaurant were very overpriced for what they offer. The rooms are set up weird, with the bed on an elevated area (where all the heat rises to). The couch was uncomfortable, and the TV didn't work right. Maintenance around the property was terrible. The trees are all covered in dead palm fronds and need pruning, and we were locked out of our room for 45 minutes because the deadbolt was rusted and wouldn't unlock. The restaurant is expensive with average food at best.

A gem in the jungle
Posted 1 Jun 2024 on HotelsI stayed in a King room with a garden view. I was looking for a solo getaway where I could just relax in comfort, swim, and eat a restaurant on the premises. From the moment I was greeted by Tania and Darcy, I knew that I could not ask for more. Once I took in the unobstructed panoramic view, I was so delighted at having found this place. The room was beautifully appointed, the bed was super comfy, water pressure in the shower was great, and I was steps from the pool. Air conditioning was much appreciated and needed. This place meets, if not surpasses, the standards of an American traveler.
Note: This cabin was further from the main building and restaurant, where there are river views and another pool, but I wanted to save money. I highly recommend this resort if you want luxury in the Belmopan area. I would suggest paying extra for the river view units if you don't want to, or can't, walk up and down a trail path.

The staff is absolutely amazing. The pools are very nice, the food was excellent. We would definitely recommend staying here.
