The Waring House is nice but needs some TLC. It’s kind of tired looking. The rooms are large but the furniture could use an upgrade. The staff is very kind and attentive. We had a good stay and it’s very convenient to get to various little towns on our bikes which was the whole purpose of the trip.

Quaint country hotel. Big cozy rooms with comfy chairs with fireplace. Expansive, well groomed property and beautiful gardens. Very friendly staff. Pub with live music. Great restaurant with full breakfast included. Minutes from downtown Picton. Generally a very nice experience.

We thought we had only booked a king size bed and we ended up with a beautiful suite, with two balconies, Loved the grounds, bird chirping and very quiet. The barley room pub had amazing food, and our breakfast was included, best breakfast ever.

Property was very pretty and in a good location for where we were going. It was, however, not walking distance to any shops or other restaurants in Picton. The rooms in the older part need a serious refurbishment (we were in The House Next Door) the carpet was dirty and stained as was shelf in bathroom. Beds were ok, a bit slanted. Windows needed a cleaning - there was bird poop on our patio door. Drapes and decor from 1980. Air con was old and extremely loud. Did not help my allergies at all. We had a lovely dinner in the dining room - portions were huge and good value for money. Breakfast was very good (albeit basic fare), once you got what you ordered. I think someone had called in sick as the poor woman serving was run off her feet, or we just went at the most popular time, I’m not sure. It was included in the room rate, so that was ok. The gardens and property are lovely. Not sure I would rush back.

I brought my husband here for Thanksgiving last year and he had never been to this area and really loved it. We did a winetasting tour and stay two nights. The warehouse is absolutely fantastic, their breakfast is outstanding, and the food is just wonderful. The rooms are huge and the staff are so lovely and friendly. It’s a really nice getaway from the city. we decided to come again for my 65th birthday and this time we are staying for three nights. And will definitely be back!

Staff were very good especially Dan in the bar and John in the restaurant for breakfast, The food in the bar was 1st class and fairly reasonably priced. It was great having a pub on the premises. Reception were a bit disorganized and gave us the wrong room key.

Waring House is always a good place to stay & eat. Breakfast choices, excellent & plentiful. Dinner, entertainment also quite good. Very pretty grounds. Theirs rooms in the older cottage/victorian house need updating for plugs to connect our devices.
