Stare was ok, but one of the reasons we booked this hotel was because it had a bar. The bar was closed, and no wine or beer was able to be ordered. This was an issue, as we were in attendance to a funeral, and wanted a quite place to toast our departed friend. We were hoping to have about 10 close friends back for a drink. Very disappointed. Also, I tried to call the front desk from our room, the telephone was literally a prop. There were no outlets or wires. It was a toy phone! Also, the thermostat e was impossible to control the temperature. It was -15C, and the only way we could control was to put on AC and set to 18. The shampoo had a nice smell. 😳

Super friendly, easy to check in! Staff even offered to watch my cat in the front lobby area while I went to meet the moving truck. Absolutely loved that the waffles are branded; such a unique marketing idea. Would have to say, my only complainant was that it was cold in the pool room. If you need to travel to the Quinte area, it doesn’t get any more convenient than the best western!

I booked the room for myself and family visiting from the UK. We were there to visit the Sandbanks the following day. Staff put us in an adjoining room with men who were likely there for a sporting event or bachelor party. Like, why wouldn’t they have the group booked in adjoining rooms? We were woken up at 2:30 am (had to call front desk) and again at 7 am, at which point I opened the door between the two rooms to tell them to shut up. At checkout, I complained to staff and asked that the manager call me. No follow up.
