"The apartment needs serious updates if not a complete renovation. The microwave plug doesn’t reach the outlet. The kitchen cookware is rusty and bent. We found a dead roach in a tea cup. Black mold in the shower. The drawers in the bedroom were broken. A light bulb was missing and another one was burnt out. They left one toilet paper roll for a two week stay. "The biggest problem with the hotel is there is no maid service. One towel for 6 days, no cleaning. I saw the maids in the hallway with a stack of fresh towels and took one, hysteria ensued. Turns out that's R$5. Give it to the front desk, not sure if it reached the right place. Hotels.com messaged me "Sorry but we just rent apartments in —- and Expedia. We dont have hotel services" A hotel without hotel services (and I didn't rent an apartment on Expedia). Also, the shower leaks badly....

"Great location, good apartments. However, some need better maintenance. We had to switch apartments because the fuse in the first one blew when two showers were used at the same time. Lack of communication led us to have a car in the garage while work was done in it and we were told we could not leave with the vehicle as it would damage the work. "Place was up to date, well maintained. It was far from the beaches where I usually stay. But I didn’t plan on any beaches my 3 days I spent here. Only complaint is my room had an awesome view of the lake but, there was a loose manhole cover in the road that I heard cars hitting all night. I couldn’t figure out where the noise was coming from until my last night. Not hotels fault but lost a lot of sleep from it. Overall hotel was great."
