We got to the hotel very very late at night due to a flight delay, and had to leave very very early in the morning to catch a boat. The reception is not 24h, but the owner waited for us to get there and woke up early to make us breakfast. Really kind!

A gem, perfect to return to after a day or evening
Posted 19 Oct 2017 on HotelsConsider this to be a very pleasant place. The owner is very helpful and speaks english. I think I maybe got the best room On the upper floor. I choose the hotel because of the pictures made me think that the rooms would nice and welcoming. And my room was very nice. The breakfast is simple eggs ham bread and fruit. Enough for most people.
Of course the pool is just a puddle as visible in the images. But the backyard can be enjoyed.
Some people maybe is put of by it location. But I consider all of Belem to be equal. And it is very close to the waterfront and big streets

A piece of tranquility in Belem.

Pros: The decor and the owner made it feel like home and not just another hotel room. Good location.
Cons: The neighbourhood was tired but safe. Compared to the rest of downtown Belem it was very nice.
Location: Market and the Docks are great. Note of caution, do not go to the old center when the market is over and all the good people are gone.

Posted 7 Aug 2014We stayed in the upstairs suite with a very large private bathroom. The facilities were great, the hosts were very friendly and the location is convenient. 10R$ cab ride to The Docks.

Lovely family run hotel
Posted 10 Jul 2014The owner Patrick and his wife were lovely. Even although his wife didn't speak any English she did her best to help us with anything we needed. It was Patrick's birthday while we were there and he even gave us some of his cake for breakfast. The day before, his wife had been making desert for them and had given some to us as well. It's the small things like that that make it so excellent. Highly recommend this place.

Cosy, family run hotel

Cons: Nothing!
Host, Patrick is very helpful (in several languages), rooms are spacious & clean.
Breakfast included fresh fruut, juice, coffee & bread/pastries. Good location approx 10 min walk to the main square & 15 mins walk to the waterfront/dock area.
Would definetly stay here again.

Excellent vacation spot!

Location: Great location, close to the main sites like Ver-o-Peso market, Docks, the river and the main downtown interesting spots.
We had a fantastic time at Residencia Karimbo' and hope to return again. Owners, Patrick and Naiara are wonderful! It was very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious each morning and the facility was great.
