Posted 6 Apr 2021 on HotelsCould be cleaner. Although a farm lodge, one would still expect maintenence on external structures for a better upkeeping. For a couple, we were given a room with two single beds joined together with single bedding sheets on each.Wifi signal is also extremely weak to non existent based on where you are placed in the house.

Dear Michael Phatlane, it is such a pity that you place an anonymous feedback especially as it contradicts so much from the excellent reviews we received for the same period from other guests. The establishment is indeed old-its 165yrs old! but to refer to it as dirty is simply not true. The whole lodge has been repainted and the rooms have been redone. The fact that you booked without familiarizing yourself with our offering is not my fault. It is very clear that we are a self-drive destination and no public transport is available on the route to us. It is also clearly stated that our restaurant is closed due to COVID restrictions. Your total lack of appreciation for our efforts to arrange transport for you and then to purchase food on your behalf after you spent 4 hours in town, failed to bring your own food along, is simply not acceptable to then blame it on us. Finally our swimming pool is completely compliant with our description on the web: it is "restored farm dam that stands 1,3m above the ground with clear, clean water" The activities offered are guided horse trails and game drive, non of which you wanted to book as it required additional payment and the free hiking activity was also not to your liking as you were scared of all the animals roaming the farm which is exactly why others visit us. You clearly had different expectations about what we had on offer but I strongly suggest that you carefully read any offering from other establishments before booking and then providing negative untrue feedback anonymously.

Horrible hotel
Posted 31 Dec 2019 on HotelsDirty room. Misleading pictures on the site in terms of cleanness. The place is not organised. I regret my self. On the day of check I decided to cancel my booking even with my bank unfortunately my bank said i can't reverse a payment. There's 2 swimming pools, 1 for non whites and its dirty.

Tshepo, I find your feedback regrettable and totally untrue.
It is so far from the truth that I first had to reflect on it and test your statements with other guests that visited us during the same period.
It is absolutely shocking that you dare to accuse us of racism without any facts to substantiate it. There is only 1 swimming pool on the premises and that is used by all our guests. Your comment on our place being dirty and non-organised is equally disturbing especially as you never engaged with any of our staff during your stay and hardly came out of your room.
