Very nice place. There is a supermarket 5 mins away.
Yet, there are no convenient store nearby.
Overall, very good.

Good evening, distinguished guests! Thank you very much for choosing to stay in this hotel. I am very happy to bring you a satisfactory experience. There is a bigger supermarket five minutes away. There are smaller convenience stores next to the hotel and across the road. I hope you can come back to Beijing again and serve you. I will give you a detailed introduction to the surrounding environment of the hotel. Bon Voyage!

Small hotel but too nice and comfy, good location, but didn’t have a chance to try the breakfast. The first night was bad experience due to Expedia issue, wasn’t able to checked in and they transferred me to another cheap hotel with gloomy room and smelly. After all, this hotel was nice.

Eclectic hotel with relics from the last few decades including a couple of classic video game machines. I misunderstood the nostalgia thinking it was referring to older time in Chinese history. Note google maps does not show the correct location of the hotel. It's actually on Zuo'anmen inner st near Baigongfang.

Location is a bit far from metro station, but good service and clean room. Friendly staff and helpful.
Note: location is a bit far from metro station, but can still use bus services or bike sharing if accessible. A few good restaurants nearby and the morning breakfast has good options.

Almost everything was perfect, really enjoyed the room and bed. Personal is very friendly and tries to help, but should learn a bit more of English. Thanks for all.

Verey Nice rorom, friendly staff, no closets.
Posted 19 Sep 2018 on HotelsI really like this hotel. I stayed here previously and enjoyed it. My room was quite large and had a nice upholstred semi-recliend full body lounge chair. Breakfast was nice with mostly a Chinese affair, of course, but some western imtems like patatoes, fried eggs, toast and a Cappuccino machine.
The bathroom was froom with a nice waterfall shower, good hot water.
Bottleed water adn a tea kettle with tea bags are supplied. The hotel is decorated in old fashioed items like diial phones, typewriters, etc, hence he name, Nostalgia Hotel.
The location is just inside the 2nd ring road and is a bit far from sites like Tienamen Square and the Forbidden city but only a single bus ride to those sites. The metro is about 3/4 mile (1 km) away. There is a lovely park, Longtan park just a block or so away where lots of locals come to exercise. Youn see people dancing, doing calisthenics, jogging, playing ping pong, practicing martial arts - with SWORDS, NO LESS!, ETC.
Also nearby is the fantastic Temple of Heaven park.
The room had a quiet air conditioner, nice bed but NO CLOSET or draweres! You have to live out of your suitcase.
Note that the staff may not speak English, but tries hard. They can arrange for a trip to the less crowded Mutianyu section of the Great Wall instead of the horribly crowded Badaling section.,
I would stay here again.

Nice Hotel with " Nostalgic' touches
Posted 17 Sep 2018 on HotelsVery nice large room. Friendly staff although no one spoke English, but then it IS in China! ";)
Breakfast was hearty, a combo of mostly Chinese : congee; buns; fried rice; sauteed veggies, some salad & fruite; yogurt; and some " western" items: fried eggs; cake (?) - I didn't try it; regular sliced bread & a toastr; potatoes; a Cappuccino machine; etc.
Room had a nice lounge chair.
ONLY negative is that there was NO place to put your clothing. Neither drawers nor closets! You have to live out of your suitcase. The room was certainly more than large enough to spread out your luggage, though.
It's called the " NOSTALGIC" hotel because it is decorated in old things like a an old fashion Victrola record player; Cassette tape player; the room even has DIAL phones.
