Take a stroll down Bee Gees Way and see a range of multimedia exhibits showing the band’s timeline, from the three brothers’ school years in quiet Redcliffe to the launch of their amazing careers.
Browse old photos of the young boys rehearsing with their guitars and read about their childhood spent fishing and swimming off Redcliffe’s piers and beaches. Take a seat and watch old home videos, music clips and exclusive interviews with the eldest brother, Barry Gibb. Wonder at a print of the band’s first record contract, which was signed at the kitchen table in their parents’ Redcliffe home.
Discover the 70-metre (230-foot) mural of the band members and take a photo with the life-size bronze statues of the three brothers at different stages of their lives. Finish with a dance on the sidewalk to some of the Bee Gees greatest hits and sing along with some help from the lyrics written across the walls.
This outdoor attraction is free of charge and open 24 hours a day. It is located on the beautiful Redcliffe esplanade. Make sure to leave time for a leisurely walk to the nearby historic jetty and see where the boys are said to have spent many childhood hours.
Cool down with a swim in the nearby man-made lagoon at Settlement Cove and enjoy some refreshments at one of the many cafés and restaurants that surround the esplanade.
Regular bus services run along the length of the esplanade and you can stay nearby in one of the many excellent hotels and resorts available.
