Was unable to stay in the same room as had to book second night separately. Luckily the second room was far superior though I paid less money. Will not stay here again

What you would expect from a pub
Posted 23 Jul 2024 on HotelsStaff seemed exhausted and every time I needed something they took a bit of time getting to me. Once they did, they were friendly and helpful.
Room was clean, but the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The toilet had brown stains at the bottom of the bowl and there were questionable deposits around the bottom of the shower.
The room was very warm and the windows could not be opened. I commented that my room was hot and I was told it was an old building. A fan was provided, but leaving it on all night did create a fair bit of noise.
However, the bed was comfortable and the tea and coffee provided were good.
The food in the restaurant was good, and a walk along the river in the evening was pleasant.
So overall, not bad for a room in pub.

Fabulous hotel!
Posted 8 Jul 2024 on HotelsFabulous stay, the hotel is lovely with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was really lovely overlooking the river, with a large comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.
