Beautiful old chateau set in lovely grounds at the end of a long driveway. Delicious food, the asparagus soup was to die for, the best soup I’ve ever had!

It’s a wonderful, peaceful place. Our second stay - as nice as our first.

Real Chateau in the countryside

Posted 15 Apr 2017
Pros: This is a real Château with all the trimmings. A bit frayed at the edges but wonderful overall. We had the most beautiful dinner ever on the veranda!
Cons: It's a 125 year old building, so lots of improvements would be possible .....but we loved it as it was.
Location: Situated several kilometers from the town so you'll need a car. Otherwise, it is surrounded by woods and farms. Bring a book...and maybe try knitting?
Absolutely beautiful building in an idyllic setting in the French countryside....horses in adjacent corrals, a big friendly dog named Gizmo and a needy cat demanding your attention. A wonderful place!

Nice restful stay in a France Chateau

Lovely stay in the Chateau. Enjoyed the outdoor pool and the grounds to walk in. Not too far for a visit to Monet's Garden either. Beautiful area of France. Very friendly welcoming staff.
