No electricity but they still rented the room!!!

We apologize for the inconveince but as you mentioned we were without electricity due to the recent Hurricane that hit Houston so we were without phones, and electricity and had no ability to communicate with Expedia to let them know the status as soon as we were able to communicate the situation we did so. We hope you empathize with the situation and will give us another opportunity

No Power but Rooms Available
Posted 9 Jul 2024 on HotelsBooked hotel. Drove to hotel. Hotel was completely dark with a sign on the LOCKED interior door stating “No power but rooms available.” Needless to say we didn’t stay and drove all the way back home.

I dont know how the property was. The power was out and I was not able to check in. Expedia should not have allowed me to book a room. As I learned, the power had been out several hours when I was allowed to book the room. Only after I drove 30 minutes did I arrive to find the hotel was closed. FYI the power was out due to a storm and not because anything the hotel did.

We at the property apologize as we lost power and had no way to communicate with Expedia as we had no computer or phones so could not relay this information to expedia but regret you had an extra drive and hope you give us another chance in the future
