You can dress up a pig, but it's still a pig
Posted 17 Aug 2020 on HotelsPros: Amenities were great, loved being steps from the pool (they sell tickets to non-hotel guests so they're sometimes over capacity and you can't get in) and the beach. When we checked out early, they did the right thing for billing. I've never been so happy to be home. Cons: We're in a global pandemic and they don't clean the rooms. There was an air mattress as an owner must have stayed there during the renovation and did not clean up. More importantly there was a dirty rag under the bed and sand EVERYWHERE. We let it go the first night thinking it would get fixed subsequent nights. No cleaning service ever came, just given clean sheets and towels when requested at the front desk. This was one of the few times we went to the front desk and the staff wasn't slamming the door on other staff members or guests. This place is not family friendly. The staff lives on the property and parties with loud music at all hours. The bathrooms haven't been updated since the 70s. The knobs have no markers and are counterintuitive so once you get the right temperature, after 5 minutes, it isn't consistent. Be prepared to have 30 second bursts of hot and cold water. Note, these are the biggest, but not all the issues we encountered. I can sympathize with how hard it must be to open a hotel during a pandemic, but not at $350 a night. Like 2020, it was a 30th birthday best forgotten

What a disappointment this resort was. From the moment you enter and start looking around you start to notice the webpage they are using to describe their property must be photo shopped. One big thing was fire pits. One manager says they are installing them and the other says they can not install them. In the rooms they do bot look at all like website. You book a room with a day bed they have none. They want to substitute with a air mattress. How embarrassing if you being guests. in my shower i had a old exposed pipe above my head with a sprinkler head. There was also a fire alarm on ceiling in shower. Tv’s in room mounted to the wall with the cord dangeling because there is no outlet. My thought maybe do not open and charge a arm and a leg before you are done. Now to the day manager. He was ride nasty and so hostile it became frightening. Started yelling he didnt serve for this country to go threw this. It was frightening. He was told thank you for your service he said to late for that. I am leaving i was told to walk away when i get heated. Mind you no one was yelling at him. I will say other then management the stafff was friendly. From the bar to the two young girls at the desk that the manager said i am going in the office you two deal with this. The you g girls hands were shaking using the ipad. Asked a manager later on why he was still there. He retort was he knows how to run things. Sad to find out they also own nocks in montauk.
