It was a walking distance from the SBB train station, and there are plenty of food and drink options around the area.

We arrived early after being on a cruise. They stored our luggage and I went exploring for a bit. I was not feeling well and returned to see if my room was available. The reception staff were kind. The room I was booked into was not available, they provided me an upgraded room to allow me the opportunity to have so rest. This was much appreciated.

Loved this stay- just a short walk from the train station and easy access to old Basel. It was very lovely.

Nice spacious room in a quiet neighborhood. Old town only 7 min walk, Basel Card included for free could take any public transportation. The shower is amazing and bed is so comfortable, love my stay here at The Passage.

Good location within east walking distance to the Old Town area of Basel. Bus stop right out front of the hotel and only one stop to train station. Beds are extremely firm as are the pillows so not very comfortable. The night before our last day they posted signs that the hotel water was going to be turned off from 0800-1000. On a Monday morning. Basically forced to get up early and checkout well before we planned. Disappointed at the timing and the lack of consideration. Room rates should have been reduced for inconvenience.
