Lovely hotel. We received an upgrade and were lucky enough to experience their Superior Suite. Our room had beautiful views of the city and their restaurant is delicious.

Nice size room and lovely shower that included free breakfast and mini bar. Nearby shopping and beautiful church to view! Restaurant on property.

I arrived at Hotel Märthof on my last day in Europe before flying back to the states early the next morning. The hotel staff was welcoming and arranged for my taxi to the airport at 3:45 am the next morning (😳). The hotel appears modern and sophisticated, with dark moody colors in the lobby hallways. The room was clean and bright with a very comfortable bed and great water pressure in the modern, updated shower. The location is great- it is right near Old Town and close to the Rhine River. The autumn fair was beginning the day I arrived and I enjoyed visiting the a local plaza with local vendors and booths. Hotel staff provided me with a map with locations of the plazas with markets and gave me a free pass for trams and public transportation. I mainly wandered around looking at the beautiful buildings of Old Town. There’s also a grocery store close by if needed. The only negative were the trams that run so close to the hotel. At night there are fewer of them (reduced schedule I think) but I heard them rumble by all night.
I would stay there again…I appreciated the chocolate bar they gave me upon checkout to take with me to the airport! Nothing like Swiss chocolate to celebrate a visit to a beautiful country.

Driving to the hotel was almost impossible. The hotel is gorgeous, lovely bar & restaurant, staff is exceptional! Lots of public transport options and very walkable.
