"A great stop-off on the way to the Garden Route from Cape Town. Simple, clean rooms with all required facilities. One of the best restaurants, (maybe the best) of our trip around South Africa. Be sure to book a table at the restaurant when you book your room as the restaurant gets full. "

"Our luxury room ( with mountain view) was absolutely charming, spacious and super clean. The room was newly renovated, tastefully furnished and thoughtfully outfitted with everything that could be required. The mountain view from the expansive windows and patio door was stunning and the outdoor seating area on the balcony looking at the same view was a definite plus. The only downsides were a slightly firm mattress and a bit of road noise. Otherwise it was a nearly perfect stay."

The new owner Estelle is a wonderful host, friendly, welcoming, and concerned that our visit was perfect. "We had two nights at this lovely old guest house and were welcomed with a lovely cold glass of wine after a hot day on the road. Unfortunately we were not able to shower as there was no hot water pressure. `There was also a bad smell from the drains. This was a bit of a problem as the weather was extremely hot. I think it would be a good idea to install showers rather than only having an old victorian bath with a handheld shower attachment. The breakfast was very good. The location was ideal...
