Peacefully set close to an attractive waterfall in upper Teesdale, the High Force hotel is very professionally run. Our room (9) was spacious and well appointed, with good heating.
The quality of food and its presentation was good, though we would have liked some variety in the menu from night to to night.
We enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Had a great stay at High Force Hotel 21st July 2024, the staff were wonderful, really helpful, friendly and offered great service . The food in the restaurant was 10/10, superb, we had the soup and the rib of beef. We don't normally have soup but is was superb. The rib was really tasty , the gravy was rich and served with vegetables and for pudding we had home made sticky pudding again 10/10. Stayed in room 8 which was extremely clean and well presented, bed was really comfy. I book around 60 hotels per annum and this place is going into in my top 3, ever. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Very friendly. Comfortable bed and pillows cosy clean room. Bathroom a good size, shower good. Restuarant and free breakfast excellent choices and cooked delicious. Good internet and drinks tray in bedroom.

Beautiful location. The hotel was in a perfect location, with helpful staff, clean, comfortable rooms and great food.

Staff were friendly and forthcoming. When my partner discovered the bedding had feathers it was changed immediately.. The lighting in the room was very poor if you want to sit and read.
