Great location for a short stay. Staff so very helpful and accommodating. Twin room, very comfortable and clean. Lovely local shops and restaurants within 10min walk. Would definitely recommend and looking to stay again next year for longer.

We thought saving a bit on the hotel would be smart. We would only come to our room to sleep and be out as soon as possible as we woke up. Spending more time outside enjoying beautiful Barcelona. But we underestimated just how bad a room in a hotel can be. I can compare it to a cabin in a 1980s cruise ship. Tiny, dark, pale flickering fluorescent light, a weak lukewarm spray of the shower makes the stained shower curtain stick to your body. Dismal. The room did not have a wardrobe instead there was a rod mounted to the wall with a few of those anti-theft hangers dangling from it. No safe, no place to put our luggage, to teapot. Just a bed, a plastic chair and a small table. And what made us cut our losses and leave after just one night (instead of the four we paid for) was the bed. I'm not even going to describe the damp bed-on-wheels situation but the mattress the pillows and the duvet are just not suitable for human use. Neither one of us could sleep for more than 20 minutes without waking up due to how uncomfortable the bed was or because of the loud banging of the doors and stomping in the rooms around us. Yes, this place is cheaper than some other hotels but for what you're getting it is a rip-off. Avoid!

Not bad for short stays especially if you spend most of your times outside. Will take some train rides to get to the famous spots of Barcelona like Sagrada, La Rambla and Catalunya.

Way over priced for what you get however it is in Barcelona so you pay the city price. Don’t pay for the breakfast go to the local cafes as the cooked food is not great. Nice walk down to the beach

It was a good place to stay for a reasonable price. The amenities and transportation access were within walking distance. The room was missing some basics such as hairdryer and fridge, which could have elevated our experience.

Room was ok but there is no safe and no fridge. The A/C was insufficient and we had to resort to opening the window to get a breeze. This was Oct 1st so I can’t imagine in the summer months. The room itself was old but decently clean however the hallways were old and dirty and there was a strong odor of mold. The coffee and service at the bar in the lobby were very good. For the price, it’s ok for a few days and if you’re not going to be spending much time in the room. Otherwise, do not recommend.

Negative: I often choose Travelodge as they are standard for limited budget traveler. But Travelodge in Poblenou is under standard. The room is outdate, and the hallway is dirty and smelly. Their next building is renovating so people make noise from 8am while guests come back at night very late to enjoy Barcelona at night have to wake up at 8am the next day the is terrible experience. One lift is out of order for 2 days. The Hotel just say sorry…. There are a homeless group living permanently one block away the hotel. Positive: friendly, helpful staff. To hotel: You can learn from Premier Inn hotel group, they don’t need to clean rooms every day, any guest who wants to have room clean can inform the receptionist one day in advance. that save a lot of cost and laundry expenses and some travelers nowadays don’t need room cleaned everyday to save trees

We liked the proximity to the metro, restaurants, laundry and beach. The room was very small. There wasn’t any furniture to put our suitcases on or dressers to put clothing into. There was no closet. We had to ask for a hot pot and hair dryer. The shower drained very slowly. We had no view. Our window looked out to construction. Overall it was Very basic compared to the cost.
