Negative: I often choose Travelodge as they are standard for limited budget traveler. But Travelodge in Poblenou is under standard. The room is outdate, and the hallway is dirty and smelly. Their next building is renovating so people make noise from 8am while guests come back at night very late to enjoy Barcelona at night have to wake up at 8am the next day the is terrible experience. One lift is out of order for 2 days. The Hotel just say sorry…. There are a homeless group living permanently one block away the hotel. Positive: friendly, helpful staff. To hotel: You can learn from Premier Inn hotel group, they don’t need to clean rooms every day, any guest who wants to have room clean can inform the receptionist one day in advance. that save a lot of cost and laundry expenses and some travelers nowadays don’t need room cleaned everyday to save trees

We liked the proximity to the metro, restaurants, laundry and beach. The room was very small. There wasn’t any furniture to put our suitcases on or dressers to put clothing into. There was no closet. We had to ask for a hot pot and hair dryer. The shower drained very slowly. We had no view. Our window looked out to construction. Overall it was Very basic compared to the cost.

The hotel is very old, the smell is really bad (humidity everywhere), this includes the halls, the beds, and mostly everything, is not really pleasant to stay, it's too pricey to what they offer. The check-in was just OK. Additionally, the air conditioner does not work properly, so, we had very poor sleeping experience. Sorry, I can't recommend this hotel.

Aircon was broken, spoke to them multiple times and they kept saying it would get fixed which it didn’t. Booked through Expedia and had them try call the hotel multiple times which there was no answer even though always 2-4 people working the front desk at all times. Misleading information, it said wifi included in the description but when we arrived we were informed that wifi was available for an extra charge. The AC wasn’t working in our room and had to spend almost one afternoon waiting and watching the technician repair the AC. Hotel looked very old and not very pleasing. Front desk staff weren’t very helpful and not very nice. Only got some helpful info from the cafe/bar attendant Rosa. Location is convenient but really that’s the only good thing about this hotel.

The bathroom had rusty appliances. There was no safe or mini fridge. Staff was rude when asked about other amenities. We paid for the breakfast buffet and I took a yogurt to bring to my room and they made me put it back. Overall for the money and location not worth it

The hotel was quiet and clean, good area,but there were too many things that we didn't like about our stay. Staff attitude didn'tseem very friendly, no free wi-fi in the room, just the lobby, no kettle. Just the hanger, no wardrobe. I found a hair in my breakfast one day. We had to change our cards to get to our room multiply times, which is very inconvenient. Not satisfied for the price we paid even though I am aware that the stay in Barcelona is overall quite pricy
