We stayed 2 nights at this hotel and overall found it extremely disappointing. It is central but on a partially pedestrianised road which is blocked to traffic for much of the day. There are apparently 3 parking spaces at the hotel but seem always full. The hotel provides no prior information about access and, once there, grudgingly directed us to a car park which was a distance away and full.
The room we were given was in the roof with tiny windows and generally scruffy paintwork neglected curtains coming off the tracks etc We were puzzled as ‘standard doubles. On the hotel website are described as having large triple glazed windows. The pools are small and the thermal water is warm but the facilities need renovation.
Breakfast was awful. No service on day one, we had to find someone to order hot drinks. The food was of poor quality. On day two the only waitress was determinably sorting cutlery and ignored us. We enquired about drinks and about fruit, yogurt and croissants as there were none of these (there was the day before). She shrugged and said there was none, breakfast service still had an hour to go. My husband walked to the reception to enquire further at which point the waitress dashed to reception and then out to the bakery to buy croissants she then proceeded to fill up the plates of food on the buffet.
Oh and there’s one pillow provided which is extremely hard!

Regarding your extensive and critical evaluation, we would like to comment the next points:1) Indeed, the hotel is in the center of the village and it is true that on saturdays and sundays our street becomes pedestrian, but we can't do anything about it, the hotel was built in the late 1800s, and the decision to turn the street into pedestrian, obviously, belongs to the City Council.2) Not apparently: We DO have have three parking spaces in a building near the hotel, in addition to you we had other clients who had already reserved the three parking spaces. You say that someone reluctantly directed you to a parking lot that was full and far away. I ask you who helped you in an unpleasant way? I encourage you to read the reviews of other clients where almost all of them emphasize the kindness of the staff. And about the public parking, is not our responsibility the distance or the fullness of it, we don't know the available capacity of it. 3) The room where you stayed is not on the roof, it is on the fourth floor, the windows are indeed small but because the room is an attic type, with a sloping roof, and it also has two windows on the roof. It is not true that the painting was neglected, I personally checked it, and it is not true, or that the curtains were neglected, it is not true. In fact, it is one of the rooms that a large majority of regular customers request.4) The pools are small, they are not Olympic pools but the outer one has a capacity of 60 cubic meters and the inner one 35. The thermal water is hot, reaches a temperature of 60º and we dose its entry into the swimming pools to cool them. The facilities aim to preserve the historical atmosphere.5) To make it easier, let me tell you that we offer breakfast every day, 365 days a year, and about what you say that is food of a poor quality, I encourage you to read other reviews from our customers and you will see what the vast majority think of the food we offer.

The hotel is located in a quiet but beautiful town - not full of international tourists, so you feel that you get a taste of the real Catalonia. Perfect location in summer, as the air is fresh at night. Also including here and the nearby town Caldes, plenty of wonderful tapas restaurants to try. I also loved the old style of the hotel and the rooms are also very comfortable and large. Loved breakfast - they had a range of interesting meats and delicious pastries and bread. The thermal pools were relaxing and a lovely treat. A great stay overall.

I booked this property on Orbitz late in the week and the hotel did not have record of my reservation when I arrived. I called Orbitz and received outstanding customer service from Ibrahim. The staff at the hotel, especially the owner, went out of his way to be accommodating to me. I cannot say enough about the personal attention provided at this hotel. The hotel has a thermal springs spa and pool and a lovely dining room. The town is so peaceful and quaint and right on the edge of the Pyrenees. I would highly recommend this hotel. Enjoy!

The location was excellent to wander around the best part of towns, the little squares and cobbled streets....and it is a pretty setting with the garden and pool.

Posted 23 Aug 2024 on HotelsLa réception ferme à 9h du soir... Certaines chambres sont bien mais d'autres ne sont pas du tout confortables (ex n°21). Certaines chambres sont dépourvues de rideaux. Vétusté de certaines chambres et de l’hôtel en général.
Le petit déjeuner est très médiocre (vraiment très médiocre) il y a très peu de chose.
Le personnel est vraiment très bien et aidant (le point positif de l’hôtel).
Cela ne vaut pas le prix que nous avons payé.

Las piscinas si me gustaron, la habitación también.
No me gustó lo tarde que entregaron la habitación, fuimos a las 13h y nos la entregaron a las 15h.
No me gustó lo que tardan en servirte en el restaurante, en la cena tuvimos que esperar 3,cuartos de hora para que nos sirvieran el primer plato, media hora para el segundo y el postre nos tuvimos que ir enfadados porque tampoco lo traían, eso muy mal por no tener suficiente personal.

Agradecemos su valoración de las piscinas y habitación. En lo relativo a la espera durante la cena decirle que no fue un problema de personal, ese día teníamos el público más o menos habitual y además una mesa con 26 comensales que celebraban un aniversario, eso hizo que la cocina fuese más apurada pero no fué un problema de camareros. Como compensación el Hotel agradecería aceptasen una invitación para comer dos personas el día que ustedes consideren. Saludos cordiales.

Leider hat das Hotel seinen Glanz verloren...
Posted 2 Oct 2019 on HotelsDie ältere Dame am Empfang war leider nur am telefonieren. Wir wollten wissen, wo wir unser Auto abstellen können. Leider kam sofort die Policia. Irgendwann kümmerte sie sich mal. Es kam ein MA, nahm den KFZ-Schlüssel und fuhr in eine externe Garage. Danke an ihn, er war sehr hilfsbereit!
Die Zimmer sind sehr groß, die Matratzen super hart, das Badezimmer in die Jahre gekommen, das Frühstück sehr dürftig. Die Lage ist prima, direkt in der City. Die Mädels im Restaurant waren sehr jung und wahrscheinlich noch in der Ausbildung. Trotzdem sehr bemüht und freundlich. Das Essen war dann doch besser als erwartet.
Trotzdem, wir würden nicht wiederkommen . Der Zimmerpreis ist zu hoch, für das was geboten wird !
