Hotel Condes was perfect for our 5 night stay in Barcelona. The styling of hotel/room is contemporary and decorated sparingly so if you are looking for old-world charm, may not be your place. The light switches, closet/coffee area took some time to get used to but became efficient once gaining more familiarity. Our room had a large firm bed, non-carpet floor, double sink bathroom with nice shower and compartment toilet. I liked a shelf that ran the length of the room with a wide portion to lay out suitcases. Street entrance/lobby always had multiple staff whenever we passed through so assistance was easy to get. Elevators were roomy and fairly quick overlooking the hotel's open atrium design. Room cleaning was great, though some upper glass shelves needed a more thorough wiping. Pretty rainy during our stay so we didn't get to use the rooftop terrace but once. Our room and the terrace has nice view of Casa Mila and the wide street (Passeig de Gracia) out front. In room at night occasional noise was heard from lobby, hallway and the street out front but usually short-lived. Other guests seemed pretty low-key. Imagine during summer the energy level at night is raised some.

The hotel is beautiful! Hard to find though with only small lettering outside. Staff was amazing. Our shower leaked water and made a mess, but other than that great stay! Juan and Carlos were super great.

I traveled throughout Europe for the last 2 weeks and ended my trip in Barcelona at this hotel. What a horrible way to end a trip of a lifetime. The staff at this hotel is rude, nasty, and not accommodating whatsoever. Every single one of them- from check in/front desk, to the door man, to housekeeping. As far as the rooms, they are spacious however prepare yourself to sleep with ONE pillow. And make sure you bring your own umbrella incase it rains because this hotel will deny you everything. What an awful experience. Never going back to that place again. Do not recommend staying here!
