We really like smaller more personable boutique hotels. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Go with their restaurant recommendations. We like to hike and walk. There is a wonderful park across the street with botanical gardens, Olympic stadium, Magic Fountain, Miro gallery, National Art Museum, Grocery store very close by. Taxi's were reasonable about $10-15 to La Rambla and Sagrada Familia. Book tickets early from home, they sell out.

We liked that the hotel offers an "honesty" bar where you can mix yourself a drink or take a snack whenever you please (you just have to leave your list of items and room number). The staff were warm and welcoming, the room had thoughtful extras - water, an umbrella, a yoga mat, a fridge, even a postcard. The neighbourhood is safe and close to a wide variety of restaurants, including one right in the hotel. The terrace and pool were lovely. I particularly liked the lobby honour bar, coffee and tea in the room, and a vending machine with snacks right outside the room.

Wonderful little gem!!
I cannot say enough good things about Hotel Brummell! We had an absolutely wonderful stay. We stayed for about 10 days total and it was a great home away from home. The location was perfect for us. It is outside of the busy tourist areas, but in a vibrant area with restaurants, bars and shops and yet still close enough for us to walk to La Rambla and the metro. It is situated next to Montjuic, which has a ton of stuff to see and do. The staff was wonderful! They helped with tips for our trip to the Canary Islands and also made sure I was taken care of when I needed to visit the ER unexpectedly. The breakfast and dinner options were wonderful. The rooms were very clean and had all of the necessities. If/when we make our way back to Barcelona, we will definitely stay at Hotel Brummell again!
