Very recently, we took our grandkids on a NC mountain trip. We visited Blowing Rock, Linville Caverns and Springs, and Grandfather Mountain, which was the kids favorite. We stayed in Banner Elk, on top of the mountain, at the Sugartop Resort. Awesome place to stay, incredible place to visit. The best part about the resort was the indoor pool. It gave us something to look forward to in the evening. We cooked dinners in as it was easier with the kids. The particular condo we had could have had a few more cooking items, but it was clean and comfortable for the four of us. Great trip all around.

Posted 14 Aug 2023 on HotelsThe commode had poop in it and the condo has a bad smeill either the drains or the carpet we had to leave the windows open the whole time

Thank you for reporting this. We leave our direct contact number for all guests and do wish you had called immediately to take care of the issues mentioned rather than several days later in this forum. The condo is thoroughly checked before and after each guest moves in (we did find the broken coffee pot you left behind but havent charged you for its replacement). Neither the guests that checked in after you, nor the cleaner have reported any smell but as always there will be a thorough cleaning and review of the property after each guest.

Comfortable shoulder-season condo

Be advised that there is nothing within walking distance.

Very clean and really cute! We loved the place! Awesome view from balcony but was raining all weekend so we couldn’t really enjoy it! The master bed was not comfy but the twin beds were. I do highly recommend the place. Very safe with security cameras all around the resort and the resort was very clean also.
