"The hotel manager and employees are not doing their jobs. No towels changed in the room even if we left the dirty ones on the floor, the hotel manager or any employee didn't know how the room safe worked, the fridge in the room wasn’t working and was replaced just the last day. "2nd time staying here for skiing and will be back again. Great ski resort, it was very warm (mid Feb) but most runs were in good enough shape and I even managed to find some excellent off piste runs on slushy snow on south facing slopes. Decent array of food of good quality, comfortable room albeit the family room for 4 is a squeeze. "We did not stay at the Royal Tanau as it was closing for season end, but we were relocated to the Eurostar La Pleta, which was amazing overall. Very nice service, every detail very well looked after. Smooth van service to the ski lift"

"The hotel was very basic and was definitely geared towards winter vacations. Our very small bare room had two beds, one outlet, one ceiling light and two metal shelfs. The shared bathroom was ok, but the toilet stalls were made from plywood and everything seemed to be done on a budget. All this would have been fine since the price matched the amenities, but it didn't. We found an amazing hotel (with an electric charge station!) in a neighboring town at a lower price. "

Great amenities but lacking the expected service

"Hotel is in excellent condition and have great rooms. However, we were not satisfied with the overall service level at the Hotel. First we were not able to get a table in the main restaurant for dinner despite attempting to book several days in advance, this meant we were stuck with the buffet/ala carte option in the other restaurant. From the looks of it, it seems fine, however the taste was just not there at all in any of the dishes. The fish for main courses was way undercooked, and the meats were very cheap cuts and far from tender. In addition the level of service in regards to the ski lockers was undesirable and cost us a lot of time."
