"Nice hotel, needs a bit of upkeep. Pool area was very nice and taken care of. Cottages had many small openings around the windows for mosquitos and critters to enter the room- recommend you take a roll of packing tape or similar to seal holes. Breakfast was adequate at best, we felt like eating out instead."

"This is an older style resort with lots of different spaces for children and adults including a small gym, games area etc. Unfortunately the spa treatment area was surrounded by stagnant water while I was there - otherwise it would have been a lovely setting. The little vegetable garden is cute. The pool is lovely as is the beach. The staff in the restaurant / bar are wonderful. "

"We had a great 2 night stay at this hotel. It's located on a beautiful beach which overlooks Koh Phangan and Ang Thong Marine park. We could even see our home island of Koh Tao as it was clear skies. "Where to we start. Stay away at all cost. Upon arrival the one of the staff were picking her feet on the desk. We had the keys threw at us. To open the door on room there was a padlock on the outside this meant that you could not lock the whilst you are inside. On entering the room we were overpowered by the smell of urine and seemed to some rodent activity. The wardroab doors had been chewed and there were dropping in the bathroom and inside the wardrobe. "Ban tai was beautiful! The villa was very up-to-date and the staff was super helpful and friendly. The only negative is that they do not accept credit cards for check-in, despite it being listed on hotels.com as an option. Management claimed it’s because they have issues with physically using credit cards which seems incredibly odd for a luxe villa. The management wanted to hold 10,000 baht in cash during the stay, which is absurdly high compared to other stays in the area. "
